چکیده

Pleurotus ostreatus (PO) is one of the edible mushrooms cultivated in baglog as medium. Baglog’s productive age around 4-5 weeks. The more PO produced, amount waste also increases. main component wood sawdust, which contains lignocellulose; therefore, has great potential to be used a raw material for making particleboard. This research aims make particleboard from and determine effect type adhesive concentration on physical mechanical properties that produced. Particleboard made by mixing waste, whose particle size 40 mesh, with citric acid sucrose adhesives concentrations are varied between 50%, 60%, 70%. Furthermore, was formed using hot press machine (200 °C, 10 MPa) 15 minutes. obtained will analyzed its properties, including density, moisture content, water absorption, thickness swelling, morphology, modulus rupture (MOR) elasticity (MOE). test refers JIS A 5908-2003 8 standard. As result, (citric 70%; C70) better compared adhesive, density value 0.86 g/cm³, content 4.118%, expansion 3.992%, absorption capacity 36.89%, 13.456%, MOR 9.682 MPa, MOE 1.455 GPa.

Physical and Mechanical Properties of Particleboard from Bamboo Waste

This research was to evaluate a technical feasibility of making single-layer experimental particleboard panels from bamboo waste (Dendrocalamus asper Backer) by converting bamboo into strips, which are used to make laminated bamboo furniture. Variable factors were density (600, 700 and 800 kg/m) and temperature of condition (25, 40 and 55 C). The experimental panels were tested for their physic...

Properties of particleboard made from recycled CCA-treated wood

Recovery of chromated copper arsenate (CCA)-treated wood for reuse has been the focus of several international research groups due to the imminent disposal problem created when large quantities of CCA-treated wood ultimately come out of service. Bioleaching with Bacillus licheniformis CC01 and oxalic acid extraction are two methods known to remove significant quantities of metals from CCA-treat...

Low Density Sugarcane Bagasse Particleboard Bonded with Citric Acid and Sucrose: Effect of board density and additive content

The development of natural adhesives derived from non-fossil resources is very important for the future. In this study, by taking sugarcane bagasse as the raw material, without using any synthetic resin but adding some eco-friendly additives (citric acid and sucrose), low density particleboards were successfully developed. The effects of board density and additive contents on the physical and m...

Properties of Particleboard Made from UF with Low-formaldehyde (E1) (TECHNICAL NOTE)

The objective of this study was to manufacture particleboard made from UF with low formaldehyde (E1) for use in indoor environments. The influence of UF in particles on the formaldehyde emission and its mechanical properties were investigated. The experimental results showed that the formaldehyde emission released decreased linearly with consumption UF-low formaldehyde- particle. Formaldehyde e...
